Caron Faherty Occupational Therapy Journey
Caron Faherty graduated with a bachelor of science in occupational therapy from Florida International University, followed by a master of science in clinical psychology from Barry University in the same city. After her studies, Caron Faherty started her career in occupational therapy at Health Med Systems, Inc., where she offered occupational therapy to exceptional children in the school system.
Caron Faherty joined Broward County Elderly Services, where she shifted gears to focus on psychological services for the elderly at Northwest, providing private sessions in conjunction with the social workers while working on graduate degree. Other areas she has worked in include National Medical Enterprises as a traveling therapist, and developing the Occupational Therapy Department at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center before eventually setting up her center, the Southern Occupational Therapy Products, Inc. in Jensen Beach, Florida in 2000.
At her company, located initially in Jensen Beach, Florida, before relocating to Stuart in 2015, where Caron Faherty offers functional capacity evaluations in the clinics in Brevard, Broward, Martin, Palm Beach and St Lucie counties. The evaluations focus on injured workers, especially those seeking compensation and disability benefits, and private clients. Alongside work, Caron Faherty likes Pilates and earned her Pilates certification in 2006. Continuing education requirements, as required by the FL Department of Health, are completed every two years
